UST donates more than half a million worth of goods and cash to victims of Typhoon Lawin in Cagayan

Through the efforts of the whole Thomasian Community, with special mention of the significant contributions made by the UST Senior High School and Divina Law Firm, the UST Simbahayan Community Development Office delivered last Dec. 8, 2016 122 boxes of relief goods, 3 sacks of NSTP hygiene kits, and 1 box of medicines to the Typhoon Lawin survivors of Brgy. Nag-Uma, Sto. Niño, Cagayan.

The total value of the relief boxes, which can sustain the basic needs of a family of 5 members for a maximum of 5 days, is estimated at Php. 400,000.00. In addition, collected cash donations by the Thomasian Community, worth Php. 350,000.00, was donated to the Franciscan Apostolic Sisters last December 7, 2016 so that it can be used to finance the construction of 10 typhoon resilient but culturally friendly houses for the Agtas of Sta. Ana, Cagayan.
