UST chosen as nat’l HQ for 2025 Bar Exams

On July 9, 2025, the University of Santo Tomas was formally chosen by the Supreme Court of the Philippines as the national headquarters of the Bar Exams 2025, in a ceremony that included Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo and Bar Exams 2025 Chairperson, Associate Justice Amy Lazaro-Javier. UST is national headquarters for the first time since the decentralization in 2020 and will continue to be one of the testing centers.

In the ceremony, Secretary-General fr. Louie R. Coronel, O.P., EHL and Executive Assistant Emmanuel M. Batulan, PhD represented UST by signing the agreement with the Supreme Court. In its Facebook announcement, the Supreme Court quoted Justice Lazaro-Javier, an alumna of UST, as saying that “the university is a place where excellence, pride, and glory are etched in its very hallways.” The SC further quoted Lazaro-Javier as emphasizing that “UST’s role as NHQ shows the Judiciary’s strong commitment to integrity and excellence in conducting the Bar Examinations.”

The 2025 Bar Exams will take place on September 7, 10, and 14, 2025 and will be administered in 14 testing centers, including UST.
