Prof. Tim S. Trinidad, MD, a faculty member of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, was named the Academician for 2020 of the Philippine College of Chest Physicians, in ceremonies held on March 3, 2020.
Trinidad is a known health advocate, particularly focusing on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), for which he served as council chair in the PCCP. Among his advocacies are for people to undergo examination for an early diagnosis, so that treatment can start early.
Trinidad is the head of the Medical Informatics Center and is a member of the Faculty Council. Last year, a Thomasian was also recognized with the same distinction, in the person of Assoc. Prof. Ma. Piedad Rosales-Natividad, MD.
