Last August 27, 2015, Mr. Masatomi Naito, the new President of Terumo Marketing Philippines, visited the Faculty of Pharmacy to meet its new Dean, Prof. Aleth Therese L. Dacanay, Ph.D. Terumo Marketing Philippines has been one of the partners of the Department of Medical Technology, under the chairmanship of Assoc. Prof. Ma. Frieda Z. Hapan, Ph.D., since 2013.
This collaborative partnership has resulted in a number of projects that contributed to the holistic development of Medical Technology students, namely the Venipuncture Seminar “Sanguis 2014”; TB DOTS, a community extension project of the Medical Technology Department; and this year’s Venipuncture Seminar-Workshop “Fifty Shades of Red,” spearheaded by the Medical Technology Society, among others.
This collaboration with Terumo Marketing Philippines has also opened doors to Medical Technology graduates in terms of employment opportunities. Mr. Naito and his staff, through a Memorandum of Understanding, have pledged to support and engage in more collaborative projects with the Department of Medical Technology in the next six years.
