Tejuco, Guerrero of Architecture are conferred ASEAN architects

Two faculty members of the UST College of Architecture were conferred as Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Architects on November 29, 2022, at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC).

Ar. Felicisimo A. Tejuco, Jr., and Ar. Christian F. Guerrero, College of Architecture academic staff, were among the four (4) new ASEAN architects who are all Thomasian alumni. The other two are Ar. Henry Steve R. Olonan and Carlo Chinolli Syquio G. Joson. With the conferment of the four, the ASEAN Architects of the Philippines are now 143 in total.

            Tejuco specializes in master planning, specifically heritage and tourism sites. He has also presented and published research papers on Second World War studies.

On the other hand, Guerrero was recognized for specializing in Green Architecture and Car Dealership Facilities. His more than three decades of experience also include institutions, mixed-use development, and residential projects.

The event was facilitated and witnessed by officials of the ASEAN Monitoring Committee on Architectural Services of the Philippines (AMCASP). They are represented by Hon. Charito Zamora, chairwoman of the Professional Regulatory Commission; Ar. Robert Sac, Ar. Robert Mirafuente, and Corazon F. Tandoc of the Professional Regulation of the Board of Architecture; and Ar. Richard M. Garcia, National President of the United Architects of the Philippines.
