Tarrayo of AB, RCSSED brings home research plum from APCoRE

Faculty of Arts and Letters academic staff Assoc. Prof. Veronico N. Tarrayo, Ph.D., of the Department of English, received the 2022 Dr. Matthew A. Eichler Memorial Fellowship Award for Excellence in Research, from the Asia-Pacific Consortium of Researchers and Educators, Inc. (APCoRE). The award was conferred virtually during the closing ceremonies of APCoRE’s 2022 international virtual conference.

The awardees received a trophy, citation for accomplishments, a lifetime honorary membership in APCoRE, and research grants, subject to the approval of submitted proposals. The award was named after the Founding Chairman of APCoRE and recognizes the outstanding accomplishments of individuals in the areas of Education and Research.

Tarrayo, who is also a researcher of the Research Center for Social Sciences and Education, has published studies on English language teaching and has also authored works on stylistics and gender-related issues.

APCoRE is a membership-based organization of individuals, institutions, and organizations that are committed and focused on the development of research, knowledge, and academic values in the Asia-Pacific region. Established in 2013, it provides a place for academic and research professionals in the Asia Pacific Region and around the world to gather, share experiences, and enrich their knowledge on research and education.
