Six students from the UST College of Rehabilitation Sciences (CRS) were awarded Best Speech-Language Pathology Curriculum Poster Award out of the 21 participating international SLP departments at the SLP-International Network (SLP-IN) Summer School held from August 10 to 18, 2023 at the Thomas More University of Applied Sciences (TM) in Antwerp, Belgium. The team was accompanied by Assistant Dean Assoc. Prof. Georgina D. Mojica and academic staff Mr. Raymond Angelo A. Gonzales.
Now in its 29th year, the SLP-IN Summer School continues to advance the profession by fostering international collaboration, sharing cutting-edge research, and promoting excellence in clinical practice and education. The event brought together 72 students and 37 academic staff from all over the world. Participants had the opportunity to attend various interactive workshops, covering topics ranging from SLP contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, innovative technological applications in SLP, and exploring the impact of globalization on local SLP approaches. The weeklong sessions provided attendees with practical skills and knowledge that they could apply in their professional practice.
