St. Louis College Bangkok president, academic officials visit UST CRS

St. Louis College (SLC) President Prof. Emeritus Chitr Sitthi-amorn, MD, FACP, of Bangkok, Thailand visited the university from May 21 to 22, 2018. He was accompanied by the Faculty of Physical Therapy Dean Assoc.
Prof. Pakavalee Poomsu-tat, Ph.D., Faculty of Nursing Dean Assoc. Prof. Porntip Keyuranon, Dr.PH., and Faculty of Psychology Dean Dr. Chikiat Chakchaichon. They were officially welcomed to the university by the Office of Public Affairs Director Assoc. Prof. Giovanna Fontanilla, Ph.D.


After the signing of the University guest book, the visitors were given a tour of the UST Museum followed by a courtesy call on the UST Rector Very Rev. Fr. Herminio V. Dagohoy, O.P., accompanied by Office of International Relations Director Prof. Lilian J. Sison, Ph.D., and College of Rehabilitation Sciences Dean Assoc. Prof. Anne Marie Aseron. The group also visited the
Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Cheryl R. Peralta, DrPH.

The partnership between the two institutions began with the student and faculty exchange program in August 2017. The two institutions are now looking into initiating joint research activities after a meeting that was held
with SLC PT Dean Assoc. Prof. Poomsu-tat, UST PT Department Chair Ms. Jocel Regino, PT Internship Coordinator Ms. Fe Therese Chavez, and Research Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Valentin Dones, III, Ph.D. Aside from discussions of joint research activities with the College of Rehabilitation
Sciences, activities with the College of Nursing and College of Science, Department of Psychology were also explored after a meeting between the SLC deans and their UST counterparts. St. Louis College is a private,

founded in 1985.
