Senior BS MedTech students win for research on antimycobacterial property of Wrightia antidysenterica leaf extract

Last April 6, 2017, 4th year Medical Technology students from the Faculty of Pharmacy, namely: Mia Alchelle U. Alegre, Kyarra V. Bautista, Alyanna C. Cacas, Christian Jerell C. Cosme, Nicole DC. Distor, Caryl Jill M. Llobrera, and Lianne S. Solacito, with their thesis advisers Assoc. Prof. Edilberto P. Manahan, Ph.D. and Asst. Prof. Oliver B. Villaflores Ph.D. were awarded as 1st place, Oral Presentation category for their thesis entitled “Evaluation of Antimycobacterial Property of the Chromatographic Fractions of Wrightia antidysenterica Chloroform Leaf Extract” during the 3rd NCR Research Forum and Competition with the theme “Advancing Global Competitiveness through Scientific Research and Inquiry”.

The research colloquium was organized by Far Eastern University and the Philippine Association of Schools of Medical Technology (PASMETH) held at the Science Building, Far Eastern University, Nicanor Reyes Street, Sampaloc, Manila, Philippines.
