The Faculty of Arts and Letters UST Literary Society held its lecture forum entitled PRAXIS: The AB Literature Week Opening Seminar on Critical Theory last March 28, 2017 (Tuesday) at the Beato Angelico AVR.
This lecture/forum tackled the necessity and application of Critical Theory in various fields and its overview.
The speakers for this lecture/forum were Mr. Louie Jon A. Sanchez, MFA, whose lecture was entitled “On the Need of Critical Theory and its Inextricable Uses in Real Life,” and Mr. Timothy Ong, MA, whose lecture was entitled “On the Development of Philippine Critical Theories Inextricably Related to Foreign Ones Yet at the Same Time Entirely of its Own.”
