Asst. Prof. Rommel Parulan Romano, MD, FPCP, FPSG, FPSDE, serves as Assistant Professor 1 in the Department of Medicine at the UST Faculty of Medicine & Surgery. With significant administrative roles, he holds the position of Training Officer in the Section of Gastroenterology at UST Hospital and is a valued Member of the Board of Directors for the Philippine Society of Gastroenterology. Dr. Romano’s academic pursuits are centered on Gastroenterology and Hepatology, focusing particularly on Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy and Pancreaticobiliary Endoscopy. His comprehensive education includes a Fellowship in Endoscopic Ultrasonography from King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital in Bangkok in 2017, along with Fellowships in Advanced Endoscopy and Gastroenterology at UST Hospital. Professionally affiliated with esteemed organizations, Dr. Romano is a Fellow of the Philippine Society of Gastroenterology, the Philippine Society of Digestive Endoscopy, and the Philippine College of Physicians. He also holds membership in the Hepatology Society of the Philippines. Actively contributing to medical institutions, he serves as an Active Consultant at UST Hospital and a Visiting Consultant at The Medical City Clark and Marikina Valley Medical Center.
