Mr. Christian Rey D. Rimando, MSPT, faculty member of the Department of Physical Therapy, College of Rehabilitation Sciences presented his research poster entitled “3D Measurement of Ipsilateral Joint Positioning Matching in Neutral and Plantarflexed Positions of the Ankle Among Basketball Players With and Without Chronic Ankle Instability” at the XIV International Symposium on 3D Analysis of Human Movement in the Howard Civil Service International House, Taipei, Taiwan last July 18-21, 2016. His research incorporated 3D analysis of ankle movements of basketball players using the Vicon Motion Analysis System of CRS. The angular outputs obtained were used to determine the proprioceptive deficits of the players.
The said symposium was organized by the 3-D Analysis of Human Movement, which is a technical group of the International Society of Biomechanics. The purpose of the group is to provide a scientific and technical forum for various human movement researchers.
