SADANG, Maria Gina M.

Asst. Prof. Maria Gina M. Sadang is a registered Medical Technologist in the Philippines and holds a Masteral Degree Major in Medical Technology from the Graduate School of the University of Santo Tomas. She had a sandwich program with the Faculty of Medical Technology, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus, Thailand. Her research study included the asymptomatic detection of malaria among the Hiraya Mangyans of Abra de Ilog, Occidental Mindoro, Philippines.  She is currently an Assistant Professor of the Department of Medical Technology, Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Santo Tomas. She was a Medical Technology Practitioner in the University of Santo Tomas Hospital for 7 years before she started to join the academe. She had authored laboratory manuals such as Human Physiology and Anatomy Laboratory Manual and Laboratory Manual in Hematology which are used by first year and third year Medical Technology students from the different schools of Medical Technology around the country. She was a former Laboratory Coordinator and Medical Internship Coordinator of the Department of Medical Technology. She is currently a member of the Philippine Association of Medical Technology and the Philippine Schools of Medical Technology.
