Degrees

  • Master of Science major in Chemistry, University of Santo Tomas – Manila, Philippines, 2017
  • Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, University of Santo Tomas – Manila, Philippines, 2011

Research Highlights

  • I am currently working on cancer sialylation. I am interested to understand the process of cancer sialylation and exploit it as a therapeutic target. One project will employ glycomic approaches to understand cancer sialylation. Another project is exploring the effect of known anticancer medicinal plants on cancer sialylation. My previous works were focused on understanding receptor-ligand interaction. We employed computational tools to understand the interaction of bioactive compounds with its receptor. We were also able to determine natural products with potential inhibitory activity against certain receptors.
