MORAL, Patrick Gerard L.

Associate Professor Patrick Gerard Lopez Moral, MD, FPCP, FPCCP, PSSM, holds the esteemed position of Associate Professor 3 in the Department of Medical Ethics and the Department of Medicine at UST Faculty of Medicine & Surgery. His notable administrative roles include heading the Sleep and Snore Diagnostic and Treatment Unit at the Center for Respiratory Medicine, UST Hospital. Dr. Moral is actively involved in various committees, such as the Committee on Health Informatics and Social Media at the Philippine College of Chest Physicians and the Medical Informatics Unit at UST Faculty of Medicine & Surgery. As a founding member of PhilPulmo, a group of physicians utilizing technology for better healthcare, and a member of the Editorial Board for the Journal of Medicine UST (JMUST), he contributes significantly to the intersection of technology and medicine. Dr. Moral has diverse scholarly and research interests, including Pulmonology, Sleep Disorders, Ethics, and Technology in Medicine. His extensive education and training include a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, postgraduate training in Sleep Medicine at the University of California San Diego, and a Doctor of Medicine degree with honors from UST Faculty of Medicine & Surgery. Recognized for his outstanding contributions, Dr. Moral has received prestigious awards such as the Most Distinguished Academician and Most Outstanding Fellow from the Philippine College of Chest Physicians. With an impressive history of leadership positions, including President of the Philippine College of Chest Physicians, Dr. Moral is a respected medical community figure dedicated to education, research, and patient care.
