LLAMADO, Lyndon John Q.

Dr. Lyndon John Q. Llamado is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Santo Tomas, Faculty of Medicine and Surgery. He is a licensed physician who passed the Physician licensure examination in December 1992. He received his Degree in Medicine from the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila. He had his Medical Internship at the Ospital ng Maynila and his residency in Internal Medicine at the same institution. His interest in rheumatology brought him to the University of Santo Tomas Hospital, where he received his clinical and research fellowship training in Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology. He went for another year of fellowship training at the Royal Perth Hospital, Perth, Western Australia, for Rheumatology and Osteoporosis. Currently, he is the Training Officer of the Section of Rheumatology, Clinical Immunology, and Osteoporosis at the University of Santo Tomas Hospital in Manila.

Research Highlights

  • His research works focusing on autoimmune inflammatory diseases were published both in local and international journals like the Philippine Journal of Internal Medicine, International Journal of Rheumatic Diseases, Journal of Clinical Rheumatology, Arthritis Research and Therapy, and the Journal of Dermatology. Realizing the importance of generating new data to improve our understanding of different rheumatologic conditions continuously, he has published several manuscripts on rheumatoid arthritis (RA), systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), spondyloarthropathy (SpA) and osteoporosis. The publications were a result of collaboration with both local and international physicians.
