BAUTISTA, Maria Diana Aileen C.

Assistant Professor Maria Diana Aileen Chua Bautista, MD, FPCP, FPSMO, holds the esteemed position of Assistant Professor 1 in the Department of Medicine at UST Faculty of Medicine & Surgery. Dr. Bautista is an accomplished professional with extensive administrative roles, serving as the Medicine 2 Course Supervisor, Chief of Tumor Registry at the Benavides Cancer Institute, and a vital member of various committees at UST Hospital. Her scholarly pursuits and research interests lie in the field of Medical Oncology and Clinical Trials. Dr. Bautista’s educational journey includes a Clinical Observership at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and a Fellowship in Medical Oncology at USTH.

Recognized for her achievements, she received the 2017 International Development and Education Award from the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the Extended Tour Award from The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center in 2018. Dr. Bautista has also been granted preceptorship awards by the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO) multiple times. In her past positions, she served as the Chief Fellow in Medical Oncology at USTH and held leadership roles in the House Staff Organization of Residents and Fellows. Dr. Bautista maintains active affiliations with prestigious medical societies, including the Philippine Society of Medical Oncology (PSMO), Philippine College of Physicians (PCP), American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO), Philippine Medical Association (PMA), and Manila Medical Society (MMS). Her professional contributions extend to multiple hospital affiliations, including the University of Santo Tomas Hospital, Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center, Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, and De Los Santos Medical Center.
