Dr. Inocencio Perez Alejandro, MD, FPCP, FPRA, FPSGM, isn’t just an Assistant Professor 2 at UST Faculty of Medicine & Surgery – he’s a passionate force transforming medical education. A specialist in Geriatric Medicine and Rheumatology, he wears numerous hats: educator, advocate, and changemaker.
His achievements speak volumes. As Chair of the Geriatric Medicine Subspecialty Board, he led a task force setting crucial standards for geriatricians. He went on to revise the Rheumatology fellowship curriculum, ensuring outcome-based effectiveness. He actively contributed to crafting the four-year Clinical Epidemiology curriculum at UST, even laying the groundwork for the very first Clinical Epidemiology 1 class.
Dr. Alejandro doesn’t just talk the talk, he walks the walk. He champions geriatric medicine inclusion in all levels of medical education, from students to faculty, through impactful initiatives and awareness campaigns. This dedication extends beyond his clinic walls, with a thriving virtual practice launched during the pandemic.
But his passion doesn’t end there. When not inspiring future doctors, he jogs, lifts weights, and fuels his healthy lifestyle with a balanced diet and spiritual practice. Dr. Alejandro embodies holistic well-being, a testament to his commitment to living healthier, longer – both for himself and the generations he guides.
