Mr. Joseph Alwin T. Alburo is a Lecturer at the B.A. Journalism and B.A. Communication Programs of the Department of Communication and Media Studies, Faculty of Arts and Letters, at the University of Santo Tomas. Mr. Alburo is among the Program Managers of GMA News & Public Affairs. He is the Executive Producer of GTV’s lunch newscast “Balitanghali” and the Executive Producer of “IM Ready,” GMA News‘ Weather Unit. Mr. Alburo is formerly a Program Manager of “State of The Nation with Jessica Soho,” “News To Go,” “Unang Balita,” and “GMA News Alerts,” former Senior News Editor of GMA News, former Executive Producer of “I-Witness: The GMA Documentaries” (Maki Pulido & Sandra Aguinaldo teams), former Segment Producer of “Imbestigador” and “Biodata,” GMA News’ 2004 Election Special, and a former News Reporter of RPN 9 News Department. Mr. Alburo is a member of the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) and the Society of Asian Journalists (SAJ), the alumni organization of the Ateneo de Manila University’s Asian Center for Journalism Studies (ACFJ).
