Peralta, Aguinaldo of ITSO, Cortel of MedTech represent UST in PNHRS conference

The University, through the Office of the Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation (OVRRI), participated in the 10th Philippine National Health Research System (PNHRS) Week Celebration and Conference held at the Citystate Asturias Hotel, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan last August 9 – 11, 2016. This year’s theme of the celebration was “Research Innovation for Health and the Environment”, which allowed the discussion of several health issues such as Strengthening Research in Aging, the impact of the Data Privacy Act in health research, Ethical Issues in Health and Health-related Researches, and Risk Communication among others.

Invited delegates were Prof. Alicia Aguinaldo, PhD, who was a member of the screening committee of the Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (PCHRD) Gruppo Medica for the Research Poster competition; Assoc. Prof. Michael Jorge Peralta, who was also part of the Metro Manila Health Research and Development Consortium (MMHRDC); and Asst. Prof. Maria Ruth P. Cortel, PhD from the Faculty of Pharmacy, as part of the PCHRD.
