Parol, Christmas carols featured at UST Museum holiday exhibition

The festive Christmas vibe is very much alive at the UST Museum. Lanterns that adorn the Museum and a musical presentation give the place a Christmassy ambience.

The “CHRISTMASEUM” feature collaborative projects among the Museum, the UST High School Glee Club and the Interior Design Department of the UST College of Fine Arts and Design.

Christmaseum features two major activities: “Kumukuti-kutitap, Bumubusi-busilak: A Christmas Exhibition” by UST College of Fine Arts and Design InteriorDesign Department showcasing the Filipino Christmas Lantern or “parol.” This marks the first time that a ceiling-mounted
Christmas installation is done inside the halls.

The exhibit runs from November 28, 2017 to January 19, 2018.
“Joyful Carols : A Musical Presentation by the UST Junior High School Glee Club” was staged on November 29, 2017. Festive singing echoed inside the halls of the UST Museum as the UST High School Glee Club under the baton of Prof. Emerson Hernandez masterfully interpreted popular
yuletide songs.

The UST Museum is now into collaborations with academic units not just
for the holiday season but for the rest of the year, in its thrust to promote awareness in the Thomasian community through meaningful museum activities and exhibits.
