Ocampo of Religion presents paper on Consensus, Openness at 4th Humanistic Buddhism Youth Forum

Institute of Religion faculty member Mr. Leo-Martin Ocampo presented a paper on ‘Building Bridges of Consensus and Openness: Gems from Humanistic Buddhism and Fo Guang Shan’ during the 4th Humanistic Buddhism Youth Forum at Fo Guang Shan Temple held in Singapore from October 27 to 29, 2017.

The forum, with the theme: ‘Consensus and Openness’ aimed to build more awareness especially on the youth about the importance of collaborative work between world religions. Ocampo also presented his literary piece: ‘The Day I Met Consensus and Openness.’ The forum was attended by representatives from ten countries. Ocampo also translated to Filipino Laudato Si, Pope Francis’ encyclical on the care of environment.
