Niigata University students attend immersion program at UST CRS

The College of Rehabilitation Sciences (CRS) hosted two students from Niigata University of Health and Welfare, Niigata, Japan (NUHW) from August 17 to September 14, 2019, namely, Mr. Yoshiki Iwaya, and Ms. Haruna Matsushita, second year students under the Physical Therapy program and two faculty members, Prof. Masayoshi Kubo, Sc.D., and Prof. Hideaki Takahashi, M.D. Prof. Kubo is a Visiting Professor at CRS. 

Apart from the classroom immersions within the college and clinical immersion with the college affiliated centers and community activities with partner institutions, the Japanese students were given a campus tour by the CRS Student Council which left them impressed with UST’s buildings and structures. Part of the tour was to visit the Miguel de Benavides Library where the students admired the preservation of books of the university.  

To further strengthen the relationship between UST CRS and NUHW, Prof. Hideaki Takahashi and Prof. Masayoshi Kubo discussed with faculty members about ongoing and potential future research collaborations and future faculty and student exchange activities.
