New choral repertoire of women composers includes works of Music faculty

The newly published book “Choral Repertoire by Women Composers” by GIA Publications, Inc., United States of America includes inputs from Inst. Maria Theresa Vizconde-Roldan, DMA of the Conservatory of Music. Vizconde-Roldan’s inputs help shed light on Philippine contributions to the global compendium.

The new book is edited by Hilary Apfelstadt, with Alan Tray Davis as associate editor.

Vizconde-Roldan is the Conservatory of Music’s Coordinator for Music Education and teaches conducting and music education courses. She works as founder and conductor of Kantabella and the Young Voices of the Philippines, the first Philippine choir to perform at Carnegie Hall in 2023. She has served as President of the Treble Choir Association of the Philippines.
