The Archivo dela Universidad de Santo Tomas will host the National Summit of Church Archives and Heritage Workers, which bears the theme “A Capacity Building towards the Conservation of Church Archival Heritage”, from May 8-11, 2024, at the Bl. Buenaventura G. Paredes, O.P. Building.
The event aims to reorganize the society of the Ecclesiastical Archivists of the Philippines membership from different archdioceses and dioceses in the country; reinforce their involvement in the preservation of the Church records; explore their pivotal role as custodians; and develop their skills in managing the cultural heritage records.
Before registering, please note that the participants must have the following qualifications:
- Participants must be directly involved in the safekeeping of the documents, archiving role in their respective Archdiocese/Diocese/Religious Congregations/Institutions.
- Participants must have an appointment/endorsement from their Diocesan Administrators, Parish Priest, and Superiors.

The National Summit of Church Archives and Heritage Workers is in partnership with the UST Graduate School – Center for Conservation of Cultural Property and Environment in the Tropics (CCCPET), Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines Episcopal Commission for the Cultural Heritage of the Church (CBCP-ECCHC), and Society of Ecclesiastical Archivists of the Philippines (SEAP).
