Asst. Prof. Guillerma Mendoza, faculty member of the Department of Industrial Design of the College of Fine Arts and Design and researcher of the Research Center for Culture, Arts, and the Humanities, was selected to be part of the International Review Board for the 2018 Cumulus Conference held in the School of Design of Jiangnan University, Wuxi, China.
The conference, which showcased both academic papers and professional proposals, included themes such as “Evolution and Contribution of Design Education,” “Global Transition and Local Design Response,” and “The Change and Certainty of Design Principle,” which were the themes that Mendoza reviewed papers for.
Mendoza joined experts from the University of Arts London, Plymouth University, Hongkong Polytechnic University, University of Cincinnati, Nanjing University of the Arts, and the University of Brighton, among others.
Cumulus is the International Association of Universities and Colleges of Art, Design, and Media. The University of Santo Tomas is the lone Philippine university who is a member of the association.
