MedTech hosts CHEd-funded training on Molecular Biology and Diagnostics

Last July 18-20, 2018, the Department of Medical Technology of the Faculty of Pharmacy hosted a training workshop entitled “Facing the Challenge: Understanding Molecular Biology and Diagnostics,” at the Winford Hotel and the University of Santo Tomas Central Laboratory.

Medical Technology Department Chair Edilberto P. Manahan, PhD and faculty members Asst. Prof. Maria Ruth Pineda-Cortel, PhD and Asst. Prof. Vincent Thomas Alferos, MD served as speakers and facilitators during the training.

The training workshop gathered 120 participants from medical technology schools all over the country.  The workshop was funded by the Commission on Higher Education, through a P1.7-million Continuing Professional Development Grant awarded to the Department of Medical Technology.
