On December 12, 2018, the Local Government of Magalang, Pampanga feted the UST Graduate School – Center for Conservation of Cultural Property and Environment in the Tropics (UST-GS-CCCPET) as one of the institutional partners of the town of Magalang that have assisted and supported the local government in carrying its mission to the public.
The recognition was given during the Gabi ng Parangal in commemoration of the 155th Aldo ning Magalang. The Local Government of Magalang partners with USTGS-CCCPET in conducting the cultural heritage mapping of the Municipality of Magalang with the aim to document the towns’ natural, built, tangible and intangible heritages. The project began in November 2018 and is expected to be completed by March 2019.
The award was presented by Mayor Maria Lourdes Paras Lacson and Vice Mayor Norman L. Lacson to UST-GS-CCCPET Director Eric B. Zerrudo, PhD.
