Asst. Prof. Rachelle B. Lintao, PhD of the Department of English of Faculty of Arts and Letters presented a paper on Plain Writing in the Philippines: accomplishments, opportunities and challenges from an empirical study at the Clarity 2016 Conference in Wellington, New Zealand, held from November 3-5, 2016, with the theme, “The Business of Clarity: A plain language conference for law, government and business.”
This 7th biennial gathering was attended by more than 200 participants from all over the world.
Clarity is a worldwide organization of lawyers, linguists, information design specialists, and other professionals advocating for the use of plain language. Dr. Lintao is Clarity’s Country Representative to the Philippines.
