Jimenez of Registrar lectures on system integration with eCAV and eGov application in a CHED workshop-seminar

Mr. Ferwin C. Jimenez of the Office of Registrar conducted a workshop on system integration with electronic certification, authentication, and verification (eCAV) and eGOV application in a workshop-seminar organized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), held on July 28, 2025, at the CHED Auditorium in Quezon City.

In the plenary session, Jimenez, who serves as the Information, Communication, and Technology Cluster supervisor, gave an overview of the current Digital Credentials process of the University, which the Office of the Registrar was implementing via the World Education Services (WES) and TruMerit (formerly CGFNS International) Partnership.

The university is the first Higher Education Institution (HEI) in the Philippines to arrange and utilize the digital transmission of academic documents through WES.

Moreover, Jimenez shared that the Office of the Registrar is currently exploring the issuance of digital credentials.

CHED developed the eCAV system to simplify the application process and to streamline the verification of the certifications issued by the commission.

The event was attended by representatives from various HEIs and the Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT). Kristine Joyce E. Dela Paz, support staff from the Office of the Registrar, was also in attendance to represent the University.
