The Innovation and Technology Support Office (ITSO), of the Office of the Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation (OVRRI), and the Publishing House participated in the Philippines-Korea copyright Forum 2016 held last August 3, 2016 at the Mania Hotel.
The forum, with the theme “Development of the Fundamentals for Copyright Protection in the Digital Environment” was organized by the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) in collaboration with the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPhl) to educate and improve the awareness of the academe on the matters of Copyright and Fair Use in the digital age. The forum were participated in by various stakeholders in the music and print industry including other ITSO institutions. Assoc. Prof. Michael Jorge Peralta, Executive Assistant for Intellectual Property & Research, and Assoc. Prof. John Jack Wigley, PhD, Director of the Publishing House, represented the University.
