Executive Assistant for Intellectual Property & Research and ITSO Manager Assoc. Prof. Michael Jorge Peralta, facilitated the Patent Information Search Workshop for the students of De La Salle University during the IP Week Celebration on October 18, 2016 at the DLSU, Taft Ave., Manila.
The workshop’s objective is to educate and empower the students and the members of the IPA in the conduct of patent search using various free patent databases in order to determine novelty and inventive step of their research projects. Capacity building is one of the objectives of the ITSO project not only in the home ITSO institution but also to other ITSO host institutions taking advantage of the ITSO network. They also serve as patent libraries, the source of patent information. They offer services such as basic IP trainings, patent search, patent drafting, and soon, technology transfer.
