Five freshmen students of the College of Fine Arts and Design’s (CFAD) Bachelor of Fine Arts, major in Industrial Design program won the Grand Prize in the San Miguel Yamamura Packaging Corporation Mixed Media Art Contest, held on September 24, 2019, in Mandaluyong City.
Bringing pride to the University were Huili Chua, Pamela Dimen, Patricia Gallares, Eubelle Garvida, and Anjela Kallos. The students, under the supervision of Mr. Wilfredo Tubig, utilized materials like bottle caps, CDs, aluminum cans, plastic bottles, plastic wrappers, and cardboard in creating the winning work. The contest’s theme was “A Better World to Live In.”A simple recognition ceremony was held last September 27 in the Beato Angelico Gallery, in the presence of San Miguel Yamamura Packaging Corporation and CFAD officials.
