Assoc. Prof. Cheryl R. Peralta, DrPH, Dean of the College of Rehabilitation Sciences, visited South Korea from July 6-11, 2016, upon invitation to speak in the 1st Allied Health Science Symposium in Medical Technology, Physical Therapy, and Nursing. Peralta was plenary speaker on the topics “Physical Therapy Education and Practice in the Philippines: Towards Integrated Education in Public Healthcare.”Dean Peralta was invited by the Catholic University of Daegu to speak in the said conference, and she represented the Philippines along with delegates from other universities.The visit afforded Peralta the chance to participate in a discussion with partner institutions for a potential collaborative research project.
Forging linksPeralta likewise visited Sangmyung University, where an initial agreement for collaboration was signed, leading later on to a formal Memorandum of Agreement between the two institutions.A visit to the Seoul National University of Science and Technology was also done, where Peralta presented about UST.
