The Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), the country’s accredited professional organization for CPAs, appointed faculty members from UST-Alfredo M. Velayo College of Accountancy to various National Committees for Fiscal Year 2020-2021.
Dean Patricia M. Empleo, PhD was appointed as the Chairperson of the National Committee for Faculty Development, Co-Chairperson of National Committee for Research & Development, and member of Continuing Professional Development Council. Meanwhile, College Secretary Francisco M. Caliwan, Jr. was appointed as Secretary of the National Committee for Faculty Development and National Committee for Research & Development.
On the other hand, PICPA-Western Merto Manila Chapter elected Mr. Caliwan and Mr. Alfonso G. Garcera, as Director for Education and Director for Commerce and Industry, Respectively.
The three will serve the Institute from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021.
