Mr. Francis Lawrence B. de Jesus, PhD, Chair of the Department of Marketing Management of the College of Commerce and Business Administration, was appointed to the Technical Validation Panel of the Philippines Skills Framework, an initiative of the Department of Trade and Industry through its Philippine Trade Training Center (DTI-PTTC).
The panel is tasked to achieve the following objectives: 1) to standardize terms and semantics associated to new world skills required in every form of business; 2) to standardize job roles and basic skillset requirements for every business-related employment positions; and 3) to support informed decisions about career goals upgrading and planning.
The appointment of De Jesus to the panel was confirmed by DTI-PTTC Executive Director Nelly Nita N. Dillera, CESO III, who is also serving as the Project Director of the Philippine Skills Initiative, in a ceremony participated in by the representatives from the sector agencies leads of the government, industry associations presidents, education and higher learning institutions, administrators and officials, and labor union leaders.
