De Guzman is co-editor of Educational Gerontology Journal

Former Education Dean, Prof. Allan de Guzman, Ph.D., has recently been appointed as co-editor of the Educational Gerontology Journal, replacing Nieli Langer of the College of New Rochelle, USA. He is joined by Bernhard Schmidt-Hertha of the University of Tübingen in Germany, and will serve for a term of five years from May 2021 to December 2025.


De Guzman is presently the Lead of the Educational Gerontology Research Interest Group of the UST Research Center for Social Sciences and Education, and handles research courses in the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management and the Graduate School. Prior to his appointment as co-editor, de Guzman has been serving as one of the international advisory board members of the journal since 2009.


The Educational Gerontology is an ISI-listed journal published by Routledge: Taylor and Francis. Issued as a monthly publication, the journal features novel and up-to-date research in the fields of gerontology, adult education, and the social and behavioral sciences; and is recognized as a valuable educational resource in gerontology not only for students and educational professionals, but also for health care providers and trainers.
The journal covers various areas such as art, music, social work, architecture and interior design, physical and occupational therapies, family relations, religion, and spirituality, among others.
