Cortez of Nursing lectures on ageing in the PHL at Linnaeus University, Sweden

Asst. Prof. Elizabeth D. Cortez, the College of Nursing’s Internationalization coordinator, lectured on “Ageing in the Philippines” last September 14, 2017, during the international course entitled “Ageing in Modern Society” by the Faculty of Health and Caring Sciences of Linnaeus University (LNU) in Sweden. Cortez co-delivered the lecture with Saint Louis University – Baguio’s Nursing Program Supervisor Caroline Bayla.

There were likewise invited professors from the University of Wolverhampton UK, Wenzhou Medical University China, Cameron University Finland, University of Venda South Africa.
Likewise, Cortez was given an opportunity to give a presentation of the University of Santo Tomas Philippines in both Vaxjo and Kalmar campuses.

This engagement also opened avenues for research collaboration, faculty exchange among the invited Universities. Being one of UST’s partner universities, LNU students are scheduled to come to UST next term for their global clinical immersion program.
