For this year’s Christmas season exhibition, the University of Santo Tomas Museum, in partnership with the College of Fine Arts and Design, opened the “Harmonia Superna: Let Heaven Rejoice” exhibition at the Main Gallery of the Museum on November 25, 2019.
The classes of 1IND1, 1IND2, and 1IND3 (Materials Design Class); and 2IND1, 2IND2, and 2IND3 (Model Construction Class), under the supervision of Industrial Design Department Chair Mr. Romano Macaisa, created the moving heavenly bodies and angels that hung above the Nativity scene of the Main Gallery.
A Belen exhibition featuring more than a hundred Nativity Scenes in various sizes, shapes and materials, from the different parts of the world, was also opened on the same day at the Main Building. They were from the collection of Rev. Fr. Genaro O. Diwa.
The exhibitions can be viewed until January 3, 2020.
As part of the same celebration, the Museum also held a concert on November 28, 2019, in its Main Gallery. Titled “Laetitia Juventutis: Let the Youth Be Joyful in the Lord,” it featured The UST Junior High School Glee Club, under the batons of Mr. Nicanor Infante and Ms. Maria Lulu P. Orlina, and the Kolisko Waldorf School Haraya String Ensemble under the direction of Mr. Ford Pundamiera. The partnership between the Museum and the UST Junior High School is now on its third year.
