CCC opens 2018 Career Fair

Co-presented with USAID-STRIDE and Jollibee Foods Corporation, the UST Counseling and Career Center (CCC) opened the 2018 Career Fair with the theme “Empowering Thomasians to the Map” last April 11, 2018 at the Plaza Mayor.

“Addressing the challenges and needs of 21st century and directional goals of University of Santo Tomas, it was timely that UST received a training brand from USAID-STRIDE, building a model counseling career center in the Philippines,” CCC Director Lucila O. Bance, PhD said.

In her message Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Cheryl Peralta DrPH, delivered on her behalf by Vice-Rector of Research and Innovation Prof.  Maribel Nonato, PhD, said The University sustained its tradition of excellence in education through the delivery  of academic programs that prepares students for a meaningful and purposeful careers and at the same time embodying the 3Cs of the the UST.

“We prepare them for the world of work, locally and internationally, and empower them to contribute to social transformation as global citizens of 21st century.” Peralta said in her message.”In career fairs such this, they get a chance to connect with potential employers whom they can work with mutual benefits and a productive employee-employer relationship.”

The career fair will run until April 13, 2018.
