Mr. Francisco M. Caliwan, Jr., College Secretary of the UST-Alfredo M. Velayo College of Accountancy, was feted the Young Achiever in Education in the 73rd Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) National Annual Convention last November 22, 2018 at the SMX Convention Center, Bacolod City.
Caliwan was given this award for his advocacy in advancing the effective delivery of accounting teachers’ development programs; for his commitment in the University as the College Secretary and Program Chair for BS Accountancy; for launching the UST Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Provider Center for Accountancy, allowing the University and the provincial faculty members to access professional development programs; and for his active involvement in PICPA activities.
