BS Occupational Therapy program receives fresh five-year accreditation from World Federation of Occupational Therapists

The BS Occupational Therapy program, offered by the College of Rehabilitation Sciences, received a fresh five-year accreditation from the World Federation of Occupational Therapists, through the Philippine Academy of Occupational Therapists (PAOT). The PAOT is the national organization of occupational therapists tasked to conduct accreditation visits to evaluate local programs, on behalf of the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT).

In a letter dated 11 November 2016, the Education and Research Committee of PAOT “laud[s] the efforts exerted by the OT Department of the College for the significant changes in the program and their commitment and efforts to continually improve it.  The Committee also commends the administrative support extended by the University to the College.  Based on these findings, the OT Program of the University of Santo Tomas remains to be accredited by the World Federation of Occupational Therapists.  The Committee recommends that re-monitoring of the College be conducted after five years.”
