BS Entrepreneurship alumna wins 2017 NxtGen Franchising Award

Thomasian alumna Celine Tabia bagged the 2017 NxtGen Franchising Award for her chicken joint Chiquitos in the Franchise Excellence Awards Night held last July 19, 2017 at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia, Pasay City.

“I joined the NxtGen Franchising Awards by the Philippine Franchise Association held during the Franchise Asia Philippines and we had to pitch in front of top CEOs, top businessmen and investors.” Tabia said in her Facebook post.

Tabia finished her degree in the College of Commerce-BS Entrepreneurship in 2010.

“From what started as a humble kiosk, we have expanded to 2 stand-alone restaurants and still continue to serve my fellow UST and FEU students and from other nearby schools. Creating happy tummies one plate at a time. “

The chicken joint is a portmanteau of two names, “Just a quick story of Chiquitos. Nope! It’s not the late comedian, rather a combined name of me and my late grandfather – CHI + QUITO!”, Tabia narrated.

Chiquitos branches are located at 1001 Tolentino Street, Sampaloc, Manila and at 1418 Laon Laan street, Sampaloc, Manila.
