The Bachelor of Science in Accountancy program of the University of Santo Tomas was awarded Exemption Accreditation by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) last November 16, 2017 (Thursday).
The accreditation entitles past and present BS Accountancy graduates to exemption from at least four of the nine assessment papers that will aid them in getting full certification from ACCA. Students and alumni are likewise entitled to discounts upon registration for application.
The certification, according to the ACCA website, covers nine areas of study—divided into two modules: Fundamentals and Professional. The exemption covers at least four of the nine areas of Fundamentals, which deal with knowledge and skills domains.
