Batulan of Junior High, Registrar presents paper on teacher burnout in Boracay confab

Master Teacher Emmanuel D. Batulan, PhD, a faculty member of the Mathematics learning area of the Junior High School and concurrent Assistant Registrar of the University, presented a paper entitled “Shaped by the Spaces we Occupy? Phenomenologizing Filipino basic education teachers’ burnout experiences,” during the December 9-11, 2016 International Conference on Education, held in Boracay Island, Aklan, Philippines. The conference bore the theme “Innovation and Education: Meeting Point for Development.”

From Batulan’s paper emerged the “Steering Wheel of Teacher Burnout, which shows that teacher burnout occupies distinct spaces of intersection, interaction, and introspection.” Batulan’s co-authors were Danilo K. Villena and Alejandro G. Ibañez from the Philippine Normal University.
