Prof. Lucila Bance, Ph.D., Program Lead of the Guidance and Counseling Cluster of the UST Graduate School and Prof. Marc Eric Reyes, Ph.D. academic staff of the College of Science Department of Psychology earned awards at the Philippine Federation of Professional Associations, Inc. Excellence and Distinction (PFPA Exceed) Awards 2024. The awards were conferred on February 25, 2024 at the University of the Philippines Bahay ng Alumni.
Bance was the recipient of the Distinction Award and Excellence Award for the Psychology Profession (Professional Association Development Category), while Reyes received the Distinction Award for the Psychology Profession (Global Filipino Practice and Service Category)
Bance has served for over 40 years as a guidance counselor, academic staff, psychologist, and administrator. She was the first Director of the Counseling and Career Center, and previously served as Secretary of the College of Science and as Director of the Office for Student Admissions.
Reyes is a former President of the Psychological Association of the Philippines (PAP), who received a Presidential Citation by the American Psychological Association in 2022 for his “dedication to social issues and his commitment to mentorship”. Aside from the College of Science, he also teaches at the UST Graduate School.
