Arts and Letters welcomes 7 students from Hijiyama University, Japan

In partnership with the Office of International Relations and Programs, the Language Center, and Bachelor of Arts in Asian Studies students, the Faculty of Arts and Letters held the Welcome and Orientation Program for the exchange students from Hijiyama University last February 17, 2017 at the St. Raymund Peñafort Building.

In his opening remarks, Faculty of Arts and Letters Dean Michael Anthony Vasco, PhD shared the brief history of the University and its degree programs/courses, as well as the important sites in the campus, especially Miguel de Benavides Library and the UST Museum. Meanwhile, Asst. Prof. Honorata S. Dayao, Officer-in-Charge of the Language Center, gave an overview of the Intensive Language Program. Office of the Registrar Supervisor Mr. Reynaldo Isidro discussed to the students the special study permit, which made the exchange student program between the two universities possible.
