Archi. faculty members attend USAID conference on Urban Development

Faculty members of the College of Architecture attended a conference on ‘The 2016 International Conference on Urban Development: Accelerating Resilience and Inclusive Growth’ organized by the United States Agency for International Division (USAID) held from July 12 to 13 July 2016 at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza Hotel.

Assoc. Prof. Tobias Bonaobra, outgoing president of the UST College of Architecture Faculty Association, led the group that consisted of college representatives Asst. Prof. Sylvia Clemente, Asst. Prof. Cecilia May Villanueva, Ar. Jonathan de Jesus, Ar. Froilan Fontecha, Ar. Henry Felix Herrrera, Ar.Clarissa Lorenzo, Ar. Jocelyn Lutap, Ar. Carlo Fundador Marudo, Ar. John Ong, Ar. Ricardo Rodriguez, Ar. Felicisimo Tejuco, Jr. and Ar. Meredith Yap

The conference was an international gathering on urban development geared toward realizing the potential of emerging secondary cities. The conference aimed to foster multi-disciplinary discussions, create a network of partnerships and build information that will promote public and private sector collaboration in achieving livable, safe and economically vibrant cities.

The event was attended by representatives from the public and private sectors, academe and non-government agencies. Philippine Vice President Maria Leonor Robredo delivered the closing remarks.
