Angeles of Senior High presents paper in Canada social science conference

Mr. Nomer Guiller Angeles, a faculty member of the History learning area of the Senior High School, presented a research paper in the 42nd Annual Meeting of the Social Science History Association (SSHA), held in Montreal, Quebec, Canada from November 2-5, 2017. The meeting bore the theme “Changing Social Connections in Time and Space.” Angeles presented the paper “The Changes in Landuse Patterns in Marikina: Effects to the Marikina River (1946-2009).”

Angeles likewise chaired the GIS and Colonial History session, participated in by experts from Cameron University, the University of Michigan, and the University of California.

According to the SSHA website, “The Social Science History Association was created in 1974 by scholars interested in using social science methods and theories to better understand the past.”
