Former Departamento ng Filipino chair Prof. Roberto Ampil, Ph.D. was elevated as an Executive Council (ExeCon) member of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts – National Committee on Language and Translation (NCCA – NCLT).
The department, under the College of Education, has been recognized as an Institutional Member of the council where Dr. Ampil will serve from 2023 up until 2025.
Ampil is also the current President of Sanggunian sa Filipino (SANGFIL), Executive Committee member of Pambansang Asosasyon ng mga Tagapagtaguyod ng Salin (PATAS), Board Member of Pampelikulang Samahan ng mga Dalubguro (PASADO), and Board Member of Hamaka Pilipinas (HAMPIL).
